Lake Baikal is the largest freshwater lake by volume in the world, more than 20% of the world's fresh water and with a depth of over 5000 feet Baikal is the world's deepest lake.
Baikal's age is estimated at 25–30 million years, making it the most ancient lake in geological history. It is unique among large, high-latitude lakes, as its sediments have not been scoured by overriding continental ice sheets.

CiM - Creation Is Messy glass, Lake Baikal Ltd Run, is named after this beautiful lake is color rich range of blues.
As it is a cloudy transparent, I created a hollow round bead in order to show the depth of the patterns within this glass. A wrap of 99% fine silver wire gently melted to the surface completes the bead. The spacers are pure Lake Baikal.
