CiM - Creation Is Messy 2022 Color - Pizzazz Ltd Run

Pizzazz Ltd Run is a misty opal purple that is bright and cheerful in CiM’s 2022 offerings of limited runs.

I experimented with Pizzazz two ways in my work with this new glass color.

First up, it is paired with  Glass Diversions Kismet frit.

These round beads have a simple sprinkling of the glass frit gently melted into the surface.  You will notice that all but the one bead at the end used Pizzazz over a white core of CiM Peace. The neutral core seemed to show a brighter hue to the purple glass, otherwise it was darker than I would have as the solid base.

I also tested Pizzazz with the addition of silver foil under the Kismet frit.

In areas where the frit was absent, Pizzazz did emit a brownish hue as a reaction to the silver foil.

The spacer beads shows the pure color of Pizzazz.

CiM - Creation Is Messy 2022 Color - Consuelo Milky Ltd Run

CiM’s Consuelo Milky Ltd Run is described as slightly greenish teal milky opal relative to rare CiM’s Marine transparent dark aqua blue

To see how these 2 glasses compare, I created the following beads with mixtures of the two.

The rich blue green hues just call to me to pair with Double Helix silver glass.

These beads show the potential to use DH Melia silver glass under DH Zephyr encasement.

as well as for raised decoration.

CiM - Creation Is Messy 2022 Color - Birchwood Ltd Run

CiM’s Birchwood Ltd Run is a silver laden neutral  that in appearance is a light ivory.

I was excited to test the glass silver component within Birchwood along with a Double Helix silver glass named Melia.

These simple rivet beads were created on a base of Birchwood.

Each rivet of Double Helix Melia was reduced to bring out the green/blue silver shine.

Birchwood melted so smoothly that I also tested it in my layered Goddess beads that I will highlight in another blog post.

Stay Tuned.

CiM - Creation Is Messy 2022 Color - Buttercup Ltd Run

CiM’s new bright transparent yellow named Buttercup was based on a request from glass artists for an alternate transparent yellow.

Transparent yellows are striking glasses that will strike as the glass is worked through heating and cooling cycles.

This bead set was created using Buttercup Ltd Run as the base glass.

Layered dots of Effete Light Ivory, CiM’s rare Class M Planet a deep opaque blue laden with silver, and rare Double Helix Olympia Rain.

Clear portal dots of Double Helix Zephyr were added to capture the stormed reaction of the silver glass.

Each portal turned a pretty green as a result of the reaction between the two silver laden glasses. As the yellow glass was heated and cooled, the silver glass deepened the yellow to a caramel hue.

Dots of Class M Planet complete each bead.

CiM - Creation Is Messy 2022 Color - Honey Dew Milky Ltd Run

Honeydew Milky Ltd Run is a new 2022 CiM - Creation Is Messy is a lime green milky opal.

I had no issues with melting this glass. It flowed easily and smoothly with no bubbles or shocking.

Each bead was sprinkled with my own Pendragonfyre blended glass frit.

The glass color stayed true under the frit as seen in comparison to the Honeydew spacers.

The Excitement Has Begun - 2022 CiM - Creation Is Messy Color Testing!

For many years I have been fortunate to the among a special circle of testers for CiM - Creation Is Messy.

From the moment of anticipation of the new color previews are posted on their website, each glass tester patiently waits on the arrival of their testing package.

Kathy at CiM personalizes each package with a ribbon and tag along with a surprise or two to make the package even more special.

Each tester is so willing to share their tests and results via social media through Facebook, Instagram and blogging.

Over the past 2 years, lots of change has occurred in my life with the loss of my father, health changes including a knee replacement and the world wide covid pandemic. As a result, my blogging slowed to almost non existent.

My hope for 2022 is to refresh and restart my journey, as this blog is my journal of testing that catalogues each of the bead sets that I create.

I hope you join me in this new chapter as we learn and grow in Pendragonfyre Designs.🐉🔥

Isn't this package adorable? 😊
