Materials: Effetre Glass, Fine Silver foil and Val Cox Frit

On a base of Effetre Mint Green Opal opaque glass, 99% fine silver foil was added and layered with Val Cox Purple Rose frit. The combination was then melted into the surface and the beads were tumble etched for a smooth tactile feel. Each micro-drop of silver has taken on a golden glow.

Materials: CiM - Creation is Messy, Fine Silver foil and Val Cox Frit

On a base of CiM's black Tuxedo, 99% fine silver foil was added and layered with Val Cox Purple Rose frit. The combination was then melted into the surface and the beads were tumble etched for a smooth tactile feel. Each micro-drop of silver has taken on a golden glow.

This glittering set of 9 beads was created with a base of Effetre Light Teal transparent on which Double Helix silver glass, Ekho, was added and reduced to glittery goodness!

Materials: Effetre Glasses and 99% Fine Silver

This beadful set of 21 Silvertrail beads combine transparent rainbow tones wrapped with 99% Fine Silver Wire. Hues include Medium Amethyst, Medium Blue, Light Grass Green, Yellow, Orange and Red.

Ocean Spheres
Materials: Effetre and Double Helix Glasses

This encased set of 8 beads was created with a base of Effetre Light Teal transparent on which Double Helix silver glass, Kronos, was added and reduced. Each bead was then encased with Extra Clear glass to capture the ocean like patterns!

Lots of new sets this week, as I am trying out some new concepts in the flame.

Frosted Apple
Materials: Effetre and CiM - Creation is Messy Glasses

Nine of this set's beads were created on a base of Effetre White glass and encased with CiM's Appletini transparent glass.

The beads were then etched to create the frosted look that is smooth to the touch.Ten Appletini etched spacers are included in this set.

Silverdrops
Materials: Effetre, Trautman Art & Double Helix Glasses

These droplet shaped beads were created by first creating a round bead of clear glass. A droplet of silver infused glass was then added to one side of the base bead and then encased in a large droplet of clear glass to capture and magnify the silver glass encased within. There are 33 droplet beads within this set in a variety of colors and were created with 3/32" holes.

Iridescent Blush
Materials: CiM- Creation is Messy & Double Helix Glasses

This glittering set of 21 beads were created with a combination of CiM's Blush pink transparent and scrolls of Double Helix silver glass, Psyche Light.
The silver glass was reduced to bring out the irridescent metallic hues of blues, green, purples and pinks. The metallic bling seems to shift in hues when looking from different angles. Awesome Bling for this fall and winter!

Goddess Bead Series #107

"Hindi myth name of the wife of Vishnu, goddess of fortune and wisdom, derived from the Sanskrit word laksya, meaning aim, goal, mark"

Materials: Effetre, Trautman Art and Double Helix Glasses

This set of 10 goddess series beads were created on a base of Effetre Dark Red opaque glass with layered dots of Effetre Dark Ivory and mixtures of various silver glasses.
Double Helix silver test glass, XX-463 is paired with Trautman Art Glass named Juno to create the multicolored portals captured under each drop of clear glass. Highlights of Double Helix's Triton create the dots of shiny bling.

First Snow
Materials: Effetre Glasses

Thirteen sugared beads were created on a base of Effetre Extra clear transparent glass and sprinkled with fine clear glass frit. Eight clear etched spacers complete this set.

Golden Nuggets
Materials: Effetre & Double Helix Glasses

These 11 kalera nugget beads were created on a base of Effetre Rose Quartz with a sprinkling of Double Helix Ekho frit. Each bead was then reduced to bring out the iridescent bling.

 
Golden Aurae and Mulberry
Materials: CiM - Creation is Messy & Double Helix Glasses

These 14 round shard beads were created on a base of CiM's Mulberry Limited Run glass on which Double Helix Aurae shards were carefully placed.
Each bead was then reduced to bring out the glorious metallic bling in hues of gold, copper, pink and blue! Six Mulberry spacers complete this set.

This beadful set of 23 Silvertrail beads combine rich jewel tones wrapped with 99% Fine Silver Wire. CiM's Jade Palace and Mulberry Limited Run glasses are coordinated with  Effetre Medium Amethyst and Light Teal green transparent glasses.

Golden Lemongrass

These 12 kalera nugget beads were created on a base of rare Vetrofond Lemongrass glass on which Double Helix Aurae shards were carefully placed. Each bead was then reduced to bring out the glorious bling!

This set of 10 encased round beads were created on a base of 

Effetre Extra Clear glass. 

Handmade Silver Glass Murrini chips were added, reduced and encased in more 

Extra Clear glass. The treatment of heat strikes the silver glass and brings 

out the spectrum of colors.

Materials: Effetre and Double Helix Glasses

Where the cerulean sky meets the azure sea you will find a treasure in these beads!

This gleaming set of beads is a combination of Effetre's light teal transparent and Double Helix silver infused glasses, Triton, Kronos, Gaia and Psyche.

Each focal bead was created with silver infused glass frit that was reduced  and then encased to capture the beautiful colours. Stringers of Triton decorate the surface of the focal beads in this set.
Six chunky focal beads in rounds, barrels and cubes are  surrounded by spacers of Teal and Triton.

Perfect for 2011 Fall and Winter with the variety of shapes to allow for lots of glass art design options.

This glass starts as an ivory pastel, but when each  bead core was wrapped in 99% fine silver wire  and reduced to create the dramatic hues of midnight blues, greens and creams.  Each result was then captured under a thick encasement of Effetre clear glass.

This glass is wonderful in how it appears in various light or darkened shades within the same glass.

Silver Blue Bubbles

This unique set of 9 beads were created with a combination of Effetre Clear glass and dewdrops of Double Helix silver glass, Psyche.
The silver glass was added, struck and reduced to mother of pearl shine and then encased to create the colourful droplets of colour of the silver infused glass.
The result is gentle hues of purples, creams, greens and blues in each encased bubble.

This set of 18 CiM Razzleberry round beads start out as a pink rose transparent glass that striates with copper streams when worked in the flame. The result is a juicy copper rose glass that changes in hue depending on the angle you look at the beads. Very Unique as this glass is no longer available anywhere!
11 Double Helix Aurae mini spacer beads are included to raise the shine and richness of the copper rose beads. Awesome Bling for this fall and winter!

Vacation is over and back to the torch!

A week of vacation time has flown by and I realized that we are into the last real month of summer here on the east coast of Canada. We have had a very rainy summer and today I am looking out to almost 50mm of rain that fell today.

The garden is soggy and seems to not have a chance to dry out enough between rains. So fingers crossed that August brings more sun for the tomatoes and green beans!
