Hex Shaped Summer Beads for Period Inspired Jewelry Designs

This set of handmade hex shaped lampwork round beads was created on a base of Italian Effetre glass named Alexandrite, a blue/lavender colour changing glass.

Each bead was sprinkled with Val Cox Moonflower glass frit. 

This frit is an opaque blend of salmon, pink and soft pink tones, primarily opaque with some transparent pinks.

The spacer beads are Effetre Alexandrite showing how the color can shift from purple to blue based on the lighting.

These would be lovely in a summer necklace!

This frit is an opaque blend of soft spring colors with just a hint of transparent fuchsia.

The spacer beads are Effetre Alexandrite showing how the color can shift from purple to blue based on the lighting.

Flaming Tangerine

This bead set was created on a base layer of Effetre Tangerine Orange encased with Effetre clear transparent glass. 

A sprinkle of Val Cox Flaming June frit created a nice balance of bright and charming colors.

New Love Sonnet Sets on Etsy

New post I enjoy creating layered beads. This style I have called Love Sonnet as they create a romantic look and feel with the multi-layers of glass and colored frit.

I tumble etch each set for a tactile matte finish.

Set #1 was created with a core of Vetrofond Dark Sky Blue opaque layered with Effetre clear glass on which Val Cox Songbird frit was sprinkled and melted to a smooth finish.

The spacers are Vetrofond Dark Sky Blue.

Set #2 was created with a core of CiM - Creation Is Messy Rapunzel, a light lavender pink layered with Effetre clear glass on which Glass Diversions Himalayan Rose frit was sprinkled and melted to a smooth finish.

The spacers are CiM Rapunzel.

This last set also used a core of Vetrofond glass. In this case it is a core of Vetrofond Violet opaque layered with Effetre clear glass on which Glass Diversions Vineyard Vines was sprinkled and melted to a smooth finish.

The spacers are Vetrofond Violet.
