CiM - Creation Is Messy 2023 New Color - Kiwi Misty Ltd Run

Today, I am introducing you to a new 2023 green from CiM - Creation Is Messy named Kiwi. Kiwi is a lime green opal the is offered in both a misty and milky version.
The beads within this post are created with the misty sister.

First up, I used Kiwi Misty as the base on which a layer of Jetage Studio's Lumiere Luster named Strawberry Rhubarb was added and then encased with Double Helix Zephyr. 

 

 

The spacers are pure Kiwi Misty to show the base color directly.

 

 
This set of goddess series beads was created on a base of CiM's Kiwi Misty Ltd Run glass. 

 

 

Each goddess bead was then layered with dots of CiM's Cafe Au Lait, Double Helix's Blue Catalyst glass named ES405, a 2016 Garage Sale rod coded CL.a. 

 

 

The combination of the glasses create the multi-hued portals captured under each clear glass dot of Zephyr.  

 

 

Double Helix OX-376 completes the metallic highlight droplets on each bead.

Revisiting CiM - Creation Is Messy's Limeade Ltd Run

In my next couple of IG posts I am revisiting CiM - Creation Is Messy’s glass named Limeade, a lemon-lime cloudy transparent.

This set of hex shaped beads was created with a base of Limeade with streams of Double Helix Chloe silver infused glass.

The silver glass a reduced and encased in clear glass that captures some of the mother of pearl shine that Chloe provides.

The central square pillow focal bead was difficult to photograph to show the blues and pinks in the mother of pearl shine. 

CiM’s Limeade does seem to resemble a “citrine” semi-precious stone look in its striations.
Accent dots of Double Helix OX-376 was added to the central beads.

This mini set of Love Sonnet beads started with the base of CiM - Creation is Messy Limeade Limited Run.

A sprinkling of hand-blended Pendragonfyre glass frit was added and melted in to create the pattern resembling floral buds and vines.

Sharing Favorite Bead Styles - Goddess Portal Beads

One of my favourite style of beads to make is what I have named my Goddess Beads. 

Way back starting in 2010, I had a series of beads with unique combinations of glasses within the style of these “bumpy” portal beads. 

Each set was a unique combination of glasses with silver glass portals captured under clear bubbles each named after a Goddess name.

I have recently revisited this style again out of the sheer pleasure of creating them.
This post highlights 2 new sets created recently.

This first set started on a base of CiM - Creation Is Messy’s Limelight, a light transparent green that is beautifully fresh green tone.

Layers of CiM’s Ra, a rare creamy opaque yellow laden with silver, and Eden, a dense transparent pine green with aventurine, were placed and capped with Double Helix silver glass named Chloe. 

The silver glass was stormed and reduced and captured under clear portals of Double Helix Zephyr.

The Chloe silver glass is a speckled silver glass that when reduced brings out various speckled mother of pearl reactions in shades of yellows, blues, pinks and purples.

To complete each bead, dots of silver infused OX-376 was added and reduced to a metallic shine.

Below, is a set of 3 Goddess beads started with a base of CiM’s Maroon, a dense maroon red.

I have created several other sets of beads with this glass and they are highlights on CiM’s website. This glass loves silver so it was a natural to try it out with the Goddess style.

Starting on a base of this glass, I layered dots of CiM’s Painted Hill, an opaque yellow, and CiM’s rare Black Currant, a very dark transparent purple that appears almost black . 

For silver glass, I used some rare TAG Golden Emerald from my archive stash. It is a great glass to storm and create various hues from blues to pinks. 

Unfortunately, Trautman Art Glass (TAG) appears to no longer be in business, so I will cherish and hoard my stash as a result.

Clear portal dots of Effetre clear were added to capture the stormed reaction of the silver glass.

Dots of Double Helix Hyperion complete each bead with hues of purples and blues.

CiM - Creation Is Messy 2022 Color - Pond Slime Misty Ltd Run

Creation Is Messy’s 2022 Pond Slime Misty Ltd Run is a green misty opal leaning to the yellow side of the spectrum. It is a very pretty color that speaks to the first shoots in a spring garden.

As the base glass was a green hue, I pulled out of my stash a CiM rare silver laden glass in the green palette named Dragon Ltd Run.

Starting on a base of this glass, I layered dots of CiM Dragon, CiM’s dense transparent pine green with aventurine named Eden and a Double Helix silver glass named Olympia Rain.

Clear portal dots of Double Helix Zephyr were added to capture the stormed reaction of the silver glass producing streams of greens, golds and ivories.

CiM's green glass stayed true to it's original tone and melted beautifully and stayed stiff enough to maintain the layering without drifting or shifting.

Dots of Double Helix OX-376, a yellow-green tourmaline, jewel super luster, complete each bead.

Spring 2018 - New CiM- Creation is Messy Color - Oobleck

It has been a long time since I picked up a children's book as my adult kids well over the voting age now.


So when I saw the reference to Dr Suess on the CiM - Creation is Messy website, I had to pull up a Google search for more details.

But on to the results of this new CiM glass color, glorious Oobleck!

Described as an opaque neon lime green, it is definitely just that!

As I love to pair new colors with some of my stash of silver infused glass to test reactions, I used a Double Helix rare test glass from 2010 coded as OX376 which is a silver infused yellow green tourmaline super luster jewel tone!

The two hues of color worked very well together, if I do say so myself, and I encased some of the reaction under Double Helix Aether and left some other areas to show their shiny goodness.
