Just a quick note!
Both bead sets in today's post illustrate the use of Double Helix Aurae silver glass shards.
When Aurae shards are added to a base glass and reduced they cast golden, silver and blue copper tones within each reduced shard.

When ever I choose to make new beadsets with silver glass, I like to test the base glass to confirm if the color is altered when the silver glass is reduced.
In today's experiments, the glass did alter by either darkening or casting a golden fume.
Here are just a couple of examples.
The first set was a combination of CiM's 2023 Delft Misty, a blue misty opal.

The first set was a combination of CiM's 2023 Delft Misty, a blue misty opal.
The silver glass reduction has cast the blue of Delft Misty to a darker tone.
I also noted that Aurae shard turned to a blue metallic shine much quicker than normal.
The set below is also a new transparent color for 2023 from CiM named Charisma, a transparent lavender purple.
In this case, you can see the difference in the tone of the purple glass under the Aurae shards is much more golden than in the spacer beads on each side of the shard bead.
As always, I suggest you reach out to Nortel to place you glass orders. They carry an extensive selection of CiM glass as well as Double Helix, Riley Dichro and glass frit.
