This bead was created with a combination of CiM Bayou Ltd Run with CiM Garnet Ltd Run. I decorated it with silvered ivory stringer swirls melted into the surface. The ends were decorated with handmade shards of CiM's Tahitian Pearl Ltd Run.
Although both Garnet and Tahitian Pearl glasses are showing as SOLD OUT at the CiM- Creation is Messy site, you may want to reach out to a local distributor to check their stock availability.

One last set to share.
Based on a few previous experiments with CiM Bayou Ltd Run, I wanted to revisit this glass with Double Helix Kronos 2 powder as a surface decoration. It did not disappoint!.
The flowers were created by layered dots of CiM's Peppermint Cream Ltd Run and stormed Double Helix stormed Clio encased in clear.
The spacer beads are the same Bayou base glass wtih Kronos 2 powder and Clio dots.
Just a quick post to show you the glass combination discovery using Double Helix stormed Clio over CiM's Peppermint Cream.
Look at that reaction in the centre of each portal drop in the centre bead! Wow... gotta make more of these!
The focal bead was created on a base of CiM's new lavender named Wisteria. A few future posts will focus on Wisteria Ltd Run, so stay tuned.
The dots are layered starting with CiM's Peppermint Cream, Ltd Run stormed Double Helix Clio. The dots were then reduced and encased in Effetre clear, Highlight dots of Clio complete the focal bead.
The other two beads in this set are on bases of CiM Enchanted Ltd Run a pink lavender transparent. I dotted it with Double Helix Clio and encased the bead in clear. I like that when the base glass was paired with silver infused glass, the peachy pink cast of Clio over the purple hue is a nice compliment to the focal bead.
Til next time,
D.
This focal bead was created on a base of CiM - Creation is Messy's Ectoplasm with a dusting of Double Helix's Kronos 2 powdered fruit. The bead was then decorated with twisted dots made of a combination of CiM Peppermint Cream, Double Helix's Melia encased with Zephyr. Melia reduced dots complete the bead.
CiM's website is my go to resource for information and previews of each color in their extensive color offerings. I am impressed each time I visit to see how the lamp working community shares their beautiful creations, ongoing discoveries and feedback. Proud to be part of this collaboration effort!

This bead mini set used a base of CiM's Elixir with stormed Double Helix Melia over dots of CiM Peppermint Cream. Each storm dot was encased with portal dots of DH Zephyr. Dots of reduced Melia completed the focal beads. The spacers are CiM's Elixir.
This focal Big Hole Bead bead had the same design and glass combinations as the above mini set.

Today's new 2019 CiM - Creation Is Messy color is Porpoise Ltd Run!
This new glass color is a greenish gray opaque that when combined with silver foil and my hand blended Pendragonfyre glass frit really sings! It is a wonderful base for the raku and Z-99 to bloom!
I have included a few photos of this set as I wanted to note an observation when working with this glass. It appears that the spacers have taken on a pearl finish when they emerged from the kiln. I am not sure if this was due to the silver foil/ glass frit on the nearby beads or if this is something that can be replicated again in Porpoise beads on their own.
Could the formula has similar chemistry to the darker Tahitian Pearl? More experimenting will be required to confirm.
I am always looking for base glasses to pair with my Pendragonfyre frit that will bring the rich magenta, purples and blues to bloom with no yucky reactions. Porpoise is definitely one to put on the list.
These beads can be left with a glossy finish or they are also very beautiful as a tumble etched set as well.
I also did a quick test bead using CiM's new Peppermint Cream Ltd Run. If this bead is any indication, I expect to be using it in a set very soon!
The silver foil really glitters in these beads.
Here is the bead sitting beside the completed CiM Porpoise set for comparison.

Today's new 2019 CiM color is Aiko!
CIM’s new Aiko Ltd Run is a vivid transparent teal green that melts smoothly and has a depth of tone and does not bubble or boil.
This focal bead combined it with Double Helix Psyche silver glass frit and 99% fine silver wire encased to capture the glittery goodness!
As most of my color testing pairs new CiM colors with my favorite silver glasses, it is no surprise that I took the opportunity to try out a new Val Cox silver glass frit called Flora.
This focal bead combined it with Val Cox’s Flora and a couple wraps of 99% fine silver wire encased within.
This final bead was a combination of several of the new CiM 2019 glasses.
So many of the new colors compliment each other within the green and teal palettes!
This centre bead was created on a base of CiM Peppermint Cream Ltd Run with some CiM Eden Ltd Run dots and CiM Aiko flower twists.
