Silver Glass Reactions - Magic Of The Goddess Bead - Part 1

I have been enjoying the warmer weather in April and taking advantage of a few vacation days away from my office to hide away in my glass studio.

I think I can proudly say I am known for creating my Goddess bead sets over the past decade. Each bead with its "bumpy" glass portals is a result of unique glass combinations of silver glass.

Within this post, I have lots of small Goddess bead sets to share with you today.

Let's get right to it!

Photographs never properly show the mother of pearl and mirror shine that each "bump" has captured.

This set started on a base of CiM - Creation Is Messy’s Amethyst, a pale transparent pinky-purple.

 

Layers of CiM's Ra, a silver laden yellow opaque, Double Helix blue catalyst ES 405 and SK 652 silver glasses.

 

The silver glass was stormed and reduced and captured under clear portals of Double Helix Zephyr. 

 

To complete each bead, dots of silver infused Aurae Light was added and reduced to a metallic shine. The spacers of pure Amethyst complete the set. 

 

 
The set below started on a base of CiM Bubblebath, a pale opal purple.

 

With the same combination of layers of CiM's Ra, Double Helix blue catalyst ES 405 and SK 652 silver glasses.

 

The silver glass was stormed and reduced and captured under clear portals of Double Helix Zephyr.

To complete each bead, dots of silver infused Aurae Light was added and reduced to a metallic shine.

 

 

The spacers of pure CiM Bubblebath complete the set.  

As always, I purchase my CiM glass from Nortel in Toronto. 

It appears that Amethyst is showing as currently available at the time of this post.

Bubblebath is a rare sold out glass unfortunately, but definitely check out the CiM website for other purple opals available.

Summer Bead Sets - Pastels and Silver

This post is to share some new interchangeable necklace beads for summer.
Pastels are always beautiful for summer.

The set below features a focal bead with lots of stormed and reduced silver glass encased under a clear glass. It glows with pinks, purples and blues.
The spacers are CiM Bubblebath Ltd Run, a pale opal purple.

CiM Bubblebath Ltd Run is just a wee bit fussy with 99% fine silver wire when it is melted in and the silver takes on a slight golden fume as seen in the photo below.

In the set below, CiM Bubblebath Ltd Run runs in a narrow trail in the focal bead between shoulders of CiM Cornsilk Ltd Run. Cornsilk is a soft opal yellow glass that really compliments the pale purple and silver wire surface decoration.

CiM Cornsilk Ltd Run is not reactive to silver so the beads with 99% fine silver wire really glow with it's soft yellow hues.

Last set for today is another pastel for those love blue-greens. This shade of CiM - Creation is Messy glass is appropriately named Spearmint Ltd Run.
