Spring 2019 - New CiM Color - Little Boy Blue
Today's new 2019 CiM - Creation is Messy color is Little Boy Blue Ltd Run, a muted opaque blue with gray tones.
When I first read the description I immediately thought another boring blue... but when I realized it is a new attempt to recreate/replace now sold out CiM's Duck Egg Ltd Run, my enthusiasm restored as Duck Egg did some beautiful things with silver glass.
On a base of Little Boy Blue I rolled it in Double Helix Kronos powder, added some layered flowers of CiM Peppermint Cream Ltd Run and Double Helix Clio. The spacers show the true color of Little Boy Blue with slight streaking, which I personally like.
Kronos powder blushes the bead blue for an antique look. The flowers with reduced Clio over the CiM Peppermint Cream Ltd Run bloomed in golden rosy petals.
Perfect for spring.

Spring 2019 - New CiM Color - Bayou
Today's new 2019 CiM - Creation is Messy color is Bayou, an opaque gray-green.
I tried pairing it with Val Cox glass frit named Victoria.
This frit is part of the Painters Series special edition offerings.
Val describes this frit as "Like a rocky shore under a full moon, this one pairs soft grays with watery blues."
Bayou melts beautifully with no stockiness and I will definitely test it again using silver foil under another frit blend as I believe it will sparkle and shine.
Stay tuned for the results!
